Uniqlo Expands India Footprint, Forays into Southern Market with Bengaluru Store.

Japanese apparel giant Uniqlo is officially expanding its footprint into Southern India, with its inaugural store set to open in Bengaluru on August 29. The new outlet will be located at the Orion Mall, Brigade Gateway.

"We are thrilled to finally announce Uniqlo’s entry into Southern India with our first store in Bengaluru," stated Kenji Inoue, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, Uniqlo India. "Bengaluru marks the next significant milestone for our India business expansion. Over the past few years, we have seen strong demand and brand affinity from Bengaluru through our e-commerce platform, and we look forward to welcoming our customers in person to discover Uniqlo LifeWear.”

This move represents a pivotal step in Uniqlo's strategy to expand beyond its current presence in northern and western India. The company highlighted Bengaluru as one of the country’s fastest-growing and most cosmopolitan urban centers, making it an ideal location for its Southern India foray.
