Air India Launches Centre of Digital Innovation in Kochi.

Air India has inaugurated its Centre of Digital Innovation (CODi) in Kochi, aimed at enhancing customer-facing digital technologies and leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data capabilities to transform the airline into a modern, world-class carrier.

The centre was officially launched by Tata Group Chairman and Air India Chairman, N Chandrasekaran, at the Caspian Techparks facility in Infopark Phase II, Kochi. He was joined by Air India’s CEO & MD Campbell Wilson, Chief Digital & Technology Officer Satya Ramaswamy, and Group Head for Governance, Regulatory & Compliance, and Corporate Affairs, P. Balaji.

Chandrasekaran emphasized the importance of AI-driven, data-led digital interfaces that enhance customer engagement and improve Air India’s service delivery. He encouraged the team to develop digital assistants capable of anticipating and fulfilling passenger needs while also equipping frontline employees with technology to elevate guest experiences.

Wilson highlighted that empowering Air India’s workforce with digital tools would enable superior customer service, while Ramaswamy noted that Air India CODi has already contributed significantly to enhancing customer experiences and operational efficiencies under the airline’s Vihaan.AI transformation initiative.

The CODi centre will play a critical role in developing next-generation AI solutions to streamline operations and enhance passenger interactions, reinforcing Air India’s commitment to digital innovation.
