Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma declared that the state is now rapidly advancing on the path of development, overcoming the stagnation he attributed to the previous government. Speaking at the inauguration of the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Antyodaya Sambal Fortnight in Bichun village, Dudu tehsil, CM Sharma emphasized that genuine national progress hinges on empowering villages, the poor, farmers, and workers, aligning with the Antyodaya philosophy.
The fortnight-long campaign, he explained, aims to extend public welfare schemes to the most marginalized citizens. Sharma urged the people of Rajasthan to actively participate, visit the special camps, resolve pending issues, and motivate others to do the same. He paid tribute to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay as a visionary who envisioned a self-reliant India where every village and citizen prospers.
Key Initiatives During Antyodaya Sambal Fortnight
CM Sharma announced several initiatives to be rolled out during the fortnight:
Land Dispute Resolution: Expediting the resolution of land disputes and facilitating mutual land divisions.
Poverty-Free Village Scheme: Surveying BPL families in 10,000 villages to connect them with government schemes.
Ownership Documents: Providing villagers with ownership documents for their land without legal hurdles.
Rural Services: Offering essential services such as cleaning water tanks, restoring suspended tap connections, repairing leakages, and canal cleaning.
Farmer Support: Distributing saplings, conducting soil testing, and issuing Soil Health Cards to promote scientific farming.
Livestock Welfare: Providing insurance, medical check-ups, and vaccinations for animals.
Social Welfare: Distributing Ayushman Bharat cards, settling pending NFSA (National Food Security Act) cases, facilitating school admissions, and improving rural lighting infrastructure.
Modi's Vision and Rajasthan's Achievements
Highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, Sharma stated that India has witnessed a remarkable transformation across sectors since 2014. He reiterated the Prime Minister's focus on serving four key groups—the poor, youth, women, and farmers—as central to national development.
Inspired by the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign, the Rajasthan government has set an ambitious target of planting 100 million trees this year to promote environmental sustainability.
On the infrastructure front, Sharma shared significant achievements:
Power Supply: Rajasthan met a record peak power demand of 18,509 MW without purchasing electricity, a stark improvement from previous summers.
Agricultural Support: The current government has disbursed ₹35,000 crore in agricultural loans through cooperative banks in 1.5 years, compared to ₹15,000 crore by the previous government in the same period.
Wheat Procurement: Wheat procurement has surged from 11 lakh metric tonnes to 30 lakh metric tonnes.
Road Construction: A record 12,000 km of roads have been constructed, significantly surpassing the previous record of 3,400 km. Over 1,300 villages have been newly connected by roads.
"Our aim is not just to make Rajasthan a leading state in India, but to ensure that every citizen becomes prosperous and empowered," the Chief Minister affirmed.
