"Raana Semiconductors secures $3 million to bolster India’s chip ecosystem by developing a local semiconductor ingot grower."

Raana Semiconductors Private Ltd (RSPL), a deep-tech startup from Tamil Nadu focused on the semiconductor industry, has successfully raised $3 million in a seed funding round. The round was led by Equirus Innovatex Fund and Artha Venture Fund.

The company, which specializes in Czochralski (CZ)-based crystal growth systems, plans to deploy the funds to accelerate its product development and research efforts.

RSPL is developing an indigenously designed Czochralski monocrystalline silicon ingot grower capable of producing 10- to 12-inch silicon ingots. These high-quality ingots are essential for applications across defence, semiconductor manufacturing, solar energy, and medical technologies.
