Karachi stops e-filling project

Karachi: Under instructions from the FBR, the director general Large Taxpayers Unit, Karachi, has discontinued the pilot project for e-filing of returns and statements and PRAL has been assigned to provide these services to the taxpayers.

The director general has issued an office order whereby all LTU taxpayers have been asked to file all returns and statements pertaining to both income tax and sales tax using the FBR portal.

According to LTU press release all those taxpayers, who have already been enrolled at FBR portal can continue to use their User-Id, password and pin codes for accessing the portal and filing their declarations electronically.

All remaining taxpayers have been sent User-Id, passwords and pin codes to their e-mail addresses.

In order to facilitate the taxpayers in using the FBR portal, necessary assistance has been made available on telephones and through the department’s e-mail. A special help desk has been set up at LTU for the taxpayers desirous of seeking personal guidance during the working hours.
