US-based IT services consultancy Xebia plans to expand its workforce in India by hiring approximately 1,500 engineers in 2025, including talent from tier-II cities. The move is part of the company’s strategy to tap into emerging talent pools, according to Global CEO Anand Sahay.
With a revenue of around €400 million, Xebia operates in 16 countries and employs about 6,500 people, including 3,000 in India. Its Indian workforce is distributed across seven centers in Gurgaon, Chennai, Pune, Jaipur, Bhopal, Bangalore, and Hyderabad. Xebia began its India operations in 2007, a year after being established in the country.
Sahay highlighted the importance of tier-II cities in Xebia's growth strategy. “We have built centers in Jaipur and Bhopal, and Jaipur has grown significantly. We are further evaluating Bhopal while strengthening our presence in Hyderabad and Chennai, where we are finding excellent talent. We are also open to exploring Coimbatore and other cities with smart talent. If it requires opening new centers, we are ready to do that,” he said.
Xebia’s Indian operations function as innovation hubs, developing solutions for customers in Europe and the US. The expansion underscores the company’s commitment to harnessing diverse talent pools and reinforcing its presence in key regions to support global clients.
