Work on parallel RTR flyover to start from Sept.

With the withdrawal of the model code of conduct, the public works department will start pushing projects that have been pending due to the elections. Their first focus will be the construction of a parallel flyover at Rao Tula Ram Marg. Tenders for the project will be floated by the end of this month and the work is expected to start from September.

'PWD has been working to finalize permissions, approvals and tying loose ends on the project while the code of conduct was in place. Tenders for the project will be floated soon. Work cannot take place during the rainy season so we will wait till September. The parallel flyover should be completed by mid-2016,' said a senior PWD official.
