Farm equipment manufacturer VST Tillers Tractors Ltd (VTTL) recently conducted the bhoomi pooja and ground-breaking ceremony for its proposed ₹100-crore Global Tech Centre in Hosur, marking a major step in strengthening its research and development capabilities.
The state-of-the-art facility will serve as the company's primary global hub for advanced engineering and innovation, with a focus on developing next-generation technologies for tractors, tillers and farm mechanization equipment, VTTL said in a statement.
The Global Tech Centre has been designed to accelerate innovation in intelligent farm machinery and sustainable agricultural solutions powered by both internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicle (EV) drivetrains. The facility will also enhance the company's testing and validation capabilities, support the development of proprietary technologies and foster collaborations with global technology partners and research institutions.
"The foundation of our Global Tech Centre marks a significant milestone in VST's journey of innovation and technology leadership," said V T Ravindra, Managing Director of VST Tillers Tractors Ltd.
"As agriculture rapidly embraces electrification, automation and digital technologies, this facility will become the cornerstone of our future R&D initiatives. It will enable us to accelerate innovation, develop proprietary technologies and create world-class products that empower farmers with smarter, more sustainable mechanization solutions," he added.
The company said the new centre is expected to play a key role in driving its long-term technology roadmap and supporting the development of advanced farm mechanization solutions for domestic and global markets.
