TPREL Commences Construction of ₹5,350 Crore Renewable Energy Project in Andhra Pradesh.

Andhra Pradesh Minister for Information Technology Nara Lokesh on Thursday laid the foundation stone for Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd's (TPREL) 800 MW hybrid renewable energy project, which will be developed across Kurnool and Anantapur districts with an estimated investment of ₹5,350 crore.

Speaking at the foundation stone-laying ceremony in Pattikonda, Lokesh said Andhra Pradesh has emerged as a preferred destination for global investors, attributing the trend to the state government's focus on policy stability, speedy clearances and investor confidence.

He said leading global investment firms, including Brookfield, Blackstone, BlackRock, EQT and TPG, as well as major Indian companies such as Tata Power, Suzlon, ReNew, Premier Energies, ACME and Waaree, are expanding their presence in the state.
