Suzlon Wins 100.8 MW Wind Power Order from Sunsure Energy in Maharashtra.
In a bid to fast‑track renewable uptake among large corporates and support India’s target of 500 GW of non‑fossil capacity by 2030, Suzlon has clinched a 100.8 MW engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) order from Sunsure Energy—marking Sunsure’s debut in wind power.
Under the agreement, Suzlon will develop the project in the Jath region of Maharashtra, supplying 48 of its advanced S120 wind turbine generators (WTGs) mounted on Hybrid Lattice Towers, each rated at 2.1 MW. The scope covers full turnkey delivery: turbines, installation, erection, commissioning—and, post‑commissioning, end‑to‑end operations and maintenance.
“The Maharashtra project exemplifies our commitment to working with Independent Power Producers to bring large‑scale renewables online quickly and reliably,” said a Suzlon spokesperson. “By leveraging our in‑house engineering and service capabilities, we enable corporate customers like Sunsure to diversify into wind and meet their round‑the‑clock clean‑power objectives.”
For Sunsure Energy, the order represents its first foray into wind, enhancing its renewable portfolio and underpinning its goal to supply uninterrupted green power to industrial and commercial clients across the state.
With this award, Suzlon reaffirms its strategic focus on serving IPPs and corporate offtakers, accelerating India’s transition away from fossil fuels while reinforcing its leadership in domestic wind‑power deployment.
