Reliance Cement forays into Madhya Pradesh.
Reliance Cement has entered Madhya Pradesh, thereby expanding its footprint in the domestic market in line with its vision to be a part of the India's infrastructure development story.
Arvind Pathak, CEO, Reliance Cement, said: 'Madhya Pradesh is one of the largest cement consuming states in India, with total consumption of around 13 million tonnes per annum. With the ever-increasing industrial activities, real estate, construction and infrastructure, in addition to the onset of various industrial areas being developed in Madhya Pradesh, the market is expected to grow at the rate of 8 per cent over the next few years.''
He further added that every bag of Reliance Cement would have the unique QR code printed on it. This would help customers to identify and buy authentic cement from the market. Reliance Cement already sells in the key cities of Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Jharkhand.
In a statement, the company said the Maihar Project in Madhya Pradesh was commissioned five months ahead of schedule. In line with its vision to set up cement plants across India, the company has applied and received various mining leases in Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan.
The company is also planning to launch its innovative customer initiative 'On-site Expert Service'' in Madhya Pradesh soon. The initiative would provide an array of services, ranging from expert engineer’s advice to on-site concrete testing services.
After Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal, the company has plans to expand its presence in the northern markets of India and Nepal.
