PM Modi Set to Unveil ₹22,600 Crore Worth of Projects, Including Three Supercomputers and Metro Initiatives.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate a series of projects totaling ₹22,600 crore during his upcoming visit to poll-bound Maharashtra on Thursday. The extensive list of initiatives includes the expansion of the Pune metro rail network, the launch of three indigenous supercomputers, and multiple projects within the energy sector.

One of the key highlights of the visit will be the inauguration of the Pune Metro section connecting the District Court to Swargate, marking the completion of Phase 1 of the Pune Metro Rail Project. Additionally, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for a memorial dedicated to Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule, honoring the legacy of the esteemed social reformer with a new girl school at Bhidewada.

Among the significant announcements, the Prime Minister will dedicate three PARAM Rudra Supercomputers, collectively valued at approximately ₹130 crore, developed under the National Supercomputing Mission (NSM). These supercomputers, located in Pune, Delhi, and Kolkata, will enhance India's capabilities in research and development, particularly in fields like astronomy and atomic physics.

Furthering advancements in meteorological research, PM Modi will also launch a high-performance computing (HPC) system dedicated to weather and climate applications. This system will be established at two key sites: the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM) in Pune and the National Center for Medium Range Weather Forecast (NCMRWF) in Noida.

In addition, projects worth ₹10,400 crore related to the petroleum and natural gas sector will be inaugurated. For the convenience of cab and truck drivers, the Prime Minister will introduce way-side amenities, providing affordable lodging and boarding facilities. These amenities will include toilets, parking spaces, and internet connectivity, developed at a cost of ₹2,170 crore across 1,000 retail outlets.

Lastly, PM Modi will inaugurate the Bidkin Industrial Area, developed as part of India's National Industrial Corridor Development Program. Spanning 7,855 acres, this project aims to transform the Marathwada region into a dynamic economic hub, located just 20 kilometers south of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar in Maharashtra.
