Odisha Approves ₹2,780 Crore Industrial Projects, 14,104 Jobs
The Odisha government has approved 14 major industrial investment proposals worth ₹2,780.10 crore, with the potential to generate 14,104 jobs across 10 districts. The approvals were granted at the 149th meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA).
The projects span food processing, textiles, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, electronics, steel and infrastructure. Major proposals include Haldiram Snacks Food’s ₹500-crore manufacturing unit, Prasol Chemicals’ ₹450-crore phosphorus derivatives plant and a ₹251.45-crore garment manufacturing unit by Sahana Clothing Company, expected to create 5,104 jobs.
Other significant investments include Tiwana Nutrition Global’s ₹140-crore cattle-feed plant and Mahatripurasundari Minerals and Metals’ ₹160-crore integrated ferro-alloys complex.
The approvals underline Odisha’s efforts to attract investment, promote industrial value addition and expand employment under its Samruddha Odisha 2036 vision.
