NCRTC Launches Largest EV Charging Station at Anand Vihar Station on Namo Bharat Corridor.

The National Capital Region Transport Corporation has inaugurated the largest fast electric vehicle (EV) charging station at Anand Vihar Station on the Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor, marking a major step in promoting clean mobility.

The facility features 10 high-voltage charging units, each with a capacity of 480 kW, capable of simultaneously charging up to 10 vehicles. It can charge four-wheelers to approximately 80% in about 30 minutes, while also providing charging points for heavy commercial EVs.

Commuters and EV users can access the station via the 'ElectreeFi' mobile application, which allows slot booking, real-time monitoring, and digital payments.

With this addition, EV charging services are now available at eight stations along the corridor, including Sahibabad, Guldhar, Duhai, Muradnagar, Modinagar South, Modinagar North, Meerut South, and Anand Vihar. Both fast and standard charging infrastructure have been installed across these locations.

The NCRTC stated that the facility will benefit not only Namo Bharat commuters but also nearby residents using private electric vehicles, improving convenience and encouraging wider adoption of EVs in the region. The authority also plans to expand EV charging infrastructure further along the corridor to support sustainable urban transport and clean energy initiatives.
