Natural stones units' park proposed near Krishnapatnam port.
V.G Natural Stones Industries Park, a Bangalore-based company, recently signed a pact with the Andhra Pradesh Government at the CII Partnership Summit for setting up a park for natural stones industries in the vicinity of Krishnapatnam port in Nellore district.
According to a press release, the park will be promoted by V.G Natural Stones Industries Park in a special economic zone within 100 km of the port on 1,000 acres. The park will have broadly granite, marble and other natural stone processing units, machinery manufacturers (gangsaws, cutters etc.), ancilliary units and logistics companies. It is expected to attract over Rs. 5,000 crore in investment and generate employment of 20,000 directly or indirectly.
Guru Shastrimath, the CEO of the company, is the principal promoter. Machinery manufacturers from China, Italy, Germany and other European countries are evincing interest in the project, adds the release.
