Logitech’s Chennai R&D Centre Emerges as Key Hub for Innovation.

Logitech, the $5 billion Swiss technology giant known in India for its PC accessories like mice and webcams, has revealed that its Chennai-based research and development (R&D) centre plays a pivotal role in shaping the intelligence behind its global product lineup.

Established seven years ago, the Chennai centre employs around 450 professionals and is now considered a critical engine of innovation for the company, according to Moninder Jain, Vice-President & Head of Emerging Markets at Logitech.

While the physical manufacturing of devices takes place across various global locations, the Chennai facility is responsible for designing much of the software and firmware that powers Logitech’s products. “It’s where the intelligence is developed—making the products user-friendly and highly interoperable,” Jain told businessline, underscoring the centre’s growing importance within the company’s global operations.
