Lenovo to Establish AI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru.

Lenovo’s Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) is establishing an AI Centre of Excellence (CoE) in India to serve its global customers. The new center, which will focus on consulting, roadmaps, and deployment, plans to hire more than 1,000 high-skilled employees by the end of fiscal year 2026.

Sumir Bhatia, President of Lenovo ISG for APAC, said the company will launch an AI innovation center in Bengaluru later this year. "Customers and partners can come in, even do POCs, and put in different applications there," he said. "It won’t just be a center with shiny hardware but will also provide access to labs and collaboration with our technology partners. It will also cover our complete end-to-end device to infrastructure."

The announcement follows a strong performance by Lenovo in India. In FY25, the company's revenue in the country jumped 67% year-on-year to $3.4 billion. Lenovo also holds an 18.9% share of the domestic PC market and has seen significant success with its "Made in India" initiatives, having manufactured 12 million products and shipped materials worth ₹18,000 crore out of the country in 2024.
