Juniper Green Energy Completes 103 MWp Solar Commissioning for Maharashtra Hybrid Project.
Juniper Green Energy has announced the full commissioning of the 103 megawatt-peak (MWp) solar component of its 129 MWp hybrid power project in Maharashtra, completing the work an impressive 16 months ahead of schedule.
Located in Karanja (Ghadge) village, Heti-Kundi, within the Wardha district, the project provides electricity to Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) via Juniper Green Power Five Private Limited, a subsidiary of Juniper Green Energy.
The solar capacity was brought online in two distinct phases: 59.55 MWp on June 6, 2025, followed by the remaining 43 MWp on July 14, 2025. This expedited completion significantly predates the original scheduled commissioning date for the solar component, which was November 17, 2026.
"With the project’s solar capacity now fully operational, Juniper Green Energy has once again demonstrated its ability to commission projects ahead of schedule," stated Ankush Malik, CEO of Juniper Green Energy. "This achievement highlights our significant contribution to India's increasing need for clean energy."
The comprehensive 129 MWp hybrid project integrates both solar and wind power generation. Notably, the company confirmed that the solar portion was made operational within a mere eight months of the power purchase agreement being signed, showcasing remarkable efficiency in project execution.
