JSW Rayalaseema Steel Project to Be Completed in Two Years, Says AP CM Naidu.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu recently said the JSW Steel plant in Rayalaseema will begin production within the next two years, creating local employment and boosting industrial growth in the region.
Speaking after formally launching construction work of the plant at Sunnapurallapalli village in Kadapa district, Naidu said the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government in the state had persuaded JSW Steel to invest in the region with full support, and remained committed to ensuring that Rayalaseema’s iron ore is processed locally.
He said the government’s focus was on developing the region’s industrial base and creating jobs for local youth through large-scale investments.
Naidu also said Andhra Pradesh had already attracted investments worth ₹11 lakh crore in the Rayalaseema region, which are expected to generate employment for around nine lakh people.
