The region, known for its ecological richness and tribal communities, has abundant bamboo resources, offering strong potential for sustainable, community-based livelihoods.

The foundation stone of the PPU was virtually inaugurated by N. Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. The event was attended by Vangalapudi Anitha, Minister for Home Affairs and Disaster Management, Gummadi Sandhya Rani, Minister for Women & Child Welfare and Tribal Welfare, and V. The initiative aims to harness local bamboo resources while empowering women and tribal communities, aligning economic development with environmental sustainability.
