Hindustan Copper Ltd (HCL) has announced the successful commencement of underground mining operations at its Kendadih Copper Mine in Ghatshila, Jharkhand. The operations officially began on 15 January 2026, marking a significant milestone for HCL’s mining expansion efforts in the region.
The development reinforces HCL’s commitment to strengthening domestic copper production and supporting India’s strategic mineral supply chain.
