Himadri Speciality Chemical Begins Commercial Production at 70,000 TPA Carbon Black Facility.

Himadri Speciality Chemical has commenced commercial operations of its newly commissioned 70,000 tonnes per annum (TPA) Speciality Carbon Black line at its manufacturing facility in Hooghly, West Bengal, marking a significant capacity expansion for the company.

The new line, added as part of a brownfield expansion at the Hooghly plant, enhances the company’s overall Carbon Black manufacturing capacity to 2.50 lakh TPA. Of this, Speciality Carbon Black accounts for 1.30 lakh TPA, strengthening Himadri’s position in the high-value segment of the carbon materials market.

With the expanded scale, the Hooghly unit has emerged as the world’s largest single-location Speciality Carbon Black manufacturing facility. The milestone is expected to further consolidate the company’s leadership in the global speciality carbon black market and support growing demand from domestic and international customers.
