Himachal Pradesh Secures Major Funding for Rural Roads Under PMGSY-III

Himachal Pradesh has secured a substantial boost to its rural infrastructure, with the Public Works Department (PWD) obtaining sanctions for the construction of 3,123 kilometers of rural roads and 43 bridges under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY)-III.  



PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh announced recently that the state has made "significant progress" with the approval of projects totaling Rs 3,345.81 crore. This investment is expected to greatly improve connectivity and accessibility in rural areas of Himachal Pradesh.
