Food Processing PLI Scheme Draws ₹9,207 Crore Investment from 170 Companies: Ministry.

The Production Linked Incentive Scheme for the Food Processing Industry (PLISFPI) has drawn cumulative investments worth ₹9,207 crore from approved applicants, the Food Processing Ministry informed Parliament recently.

The Central Sector scheme, which has a total outlay of ₹10,900 crore, has so far cleared 170 applications. In a written reply to the Lok Sabha, Minister of State for Food Processing Industries Ravneet Singh said the cumulative export sales reported by PLISFPI beneficiaries between April 2021 and September 2025 stood at ₹89,053.44 crore for approved products.

He added that the investments made under the scheme reflect strong industry participation and growing momentum in the food processing sector.
