FirstBuild sets up base in Hyderabad.

FirstBuild, a co-creating community for start-ups, is setting up its base at T-Works, an incubator established by the Telangana government to support start-ups on electronic hardware products.

Backed by GE Appliance, the company signed an agreement with Sujai Karampuri, CEO, T-Works, recently. A deal was already signed last December, where both sides created a team to work out the details.

“FirstBuild entities have harnessed community insights and the power of the maker movement to change the way products enter the global market,” Melanie Cook, CEO, GE Appliances, said.

Besides Hyderabad, FirstBuild has offices in Louisville, the US, and Shanghai, China. “By letting the community influence the product from the very beginning, FirstBuild quickly delivers products that consumers want,” an executive said.
