Deloitte Targets ₹40,000 Crore Revenue from India Operations by 2030, Says South Asia CEO.
Global accounting firm Deloitte is aiming for a fourfold increase in its revenue from India, targeting $5 billion (approximately ₹40,000 crore) by 2030 in a bid to become the "undisputed leader" in professional services, according to Romal Shetty, CEO of Deloitte South Asia.
In the fiscal year 2023-24 (June 2023-May 2024), Deloitte's India revenue reached the ₹10,000 crore mark, reflecting a significant growth of 30%. Shetty noted that the Indian operations contributed 10% to Deloitte's overall global revenue growth and a remarkable 70% to the growth in the Asia Pacific region.
Deloitte's total global revenue for the fiscal year ending May 31, 2024, rose by 3.6% to $67.2 billion. Shetty emphasized the firm’s ambition to disrupt the market further, stating, "Our aim is to become the undisputed leader in professional services, distinguished by our quality, brand, well-being, and scale. Success for us means being a kind-hearted, high-performing, and innovative firm."
In addition to revenue growth, Shetty highlighted a significant reduction in attrition rates within Deloitte India, which fell from 29% to 13% in 2023-24. This figure is notably lower than the 20% attrition rate reported by other firms in the "Big Four" global accounting category.
