Municipal corporation kick-starts the ambitious Goregaon-Mulund Link Road project with acquisition of Saki Vihar Road in Powai.

In a major boost to the proposed Goregaon-Mulund Link Road project, which BMC wants to complete within a year (2015), the civic body has completed the paperwork to take over the Saki Vihar Road in Powai, which is presently being maintained by the Dairy Development Board.

BMC had called for a request for proposal (RPF) to appoint a consultant to prepare a project report for the proposed 9.2-km road in 2013, and has now appointed two consultancy firms -- Technogems and Pentacle - who are scheduled to submit the report in a couple of months.
