CM Yogi to Inaugurate Bhangel Elevated Road and Noida's First 'Waste-to-Wonder' Park on Sept 25.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is scheduled to visit Noida on September 25 to inaugurate two major infrastructure projects: the long-awaited Bhangel elevated road and the city’s first "Waste-to-Wonder" Park in Sector 94. While an official announcement is pending, sources indicate that both key projects will be unveiled during the Chief Minister’s visit.

Bhangel Elevated Road to Ease Traffic Congestion

The 5.5-kilometer Bhangel elevated road, which has been under construction for over five years, will significantly alleviate traffic congestion on the Dadri-Surajpur-Chhalera (DSC) Road. The project, originally launched in June 2020 with a December 2022 deadline, was recently completed and handed over to the Noida Authority by the UP State Bridge Corporation Ltd (UPSBCL).

Noida Authority CEO Lokesh M stated that the road will "significantly ease traffic congestion and improve connectivity to central and peripheral Noida sectors." He added that landscaping and lighting work are being finalized ahead of the inauguration.

Waste-to-Wonder Park to Open in Sector 94

On the same day, CM Adityanath will inaugurate the city’s inaugural "Waste-to-Wonder" Park, a unique 18-acre green space built at a cost of approximately ₹15 crore. The park’s main attraction is a collection of over 800 animal sculptures crafted from nearly 500 tonnes of iron scrap and plastic waste.

"The park is a first-of-a-kind initiative in Noida," said the CEO. "It will not only serve as a major recreational destination but also showcase how waste can be turned into art and education."

The park is divided into three distinct zones:

  • Zone 1: Features an amphitheater for 1,000 people, a food court, a children's play area, and an exhibition space.

  • Zone 2: Spanning nine acres, this zone recreates tropical rainforests, deserts, and wetlands with corresponding animal sculptures.

  • Zone 3: Located near the Okhla Bird Sanctuary, this section will showcase oceanic, temperate, and polar ecosystems.

Visitors can move between zones using a footbridge over the expressway and an underpass. The park has two main entrances—one from Dalit Prerna Sthal and another from the Sector 94 metro station—and a parking facility for 500 vehicles.

The entry fee has been set at ₹100, with separate charges for adventure activities like zip-lining and rock climbing. The park will also introduce a jungle night safari on battery-operated e-carts, a first for the National Capital Region (NCR). The company that constructed the park will handle its maintenance and receive a portion of the ticket revenue.
