CM Mohan Yadav Inaugurates Four Flyovers Worth ₹222.25 Crore in Indore.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurated four flyovers worth ₹222.25 crore in Indore on Monday, aimed at enhancing traffic flow and providing uninterrupted transportation for the city's residents. The newly dedicated flyovers include the Bhanwarkuan, Khajrana, Lavkush, and Futi Kothi (Sant Sewalal) flyovers.
The Futi Kothi flyover, named in honor of the revered Sant Sewalal Ji Maharaj, is expected to significantly improve traffic conditions for lakhs of citizens. Addressing a gathering at the Futi Kothi site, CM Yadav stated, "A new chapter of development will be scripted by giving new impetus to progress in the state. By removing all obstacles to development, we will pave the way for the all-around advancement of the state. Ensuring safe traffic in Indore is our priority, and our goal is to ensure that no traffic is obstructed at any intersection."
To further tackle traffic-related challenges in Indore, the Chief Minister announced plans to construct additional underpasses and overbridges as needed. He also discussed an investment of ₹400 crore for sewerage line work in the city.
Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya noted that the Futi Kothi intersection would be renamed Sant Sewalal Square. He outlined plans to implement an action plan over the next three years to construct approximately 20 to 25 underpasses and overbridges to improve traffic flow in Indore.
CM Yadav inaugurated the Futi Kothi flyover first, which measures 610 meters in length and 24 meters in width, featuring six lanes and constructed at a cost of ₹57.70 crore. The Bhanwarkuan flyover, also six lanes, measures 625 meters long and was built at a cost of ₹55.77 crore.
Additionally, one arm each of the Lavkush Square and Khajrana Square flyovers was dedicated during the ceremony. The Khajrana Square flyover, which measures 500 meters and costs ₹41.19 crore, and the Lavkush Square flyover, measuring 675 meters and costing ₹66.88 crore, both feature six lanes as well. Officials indicated that the construction of the remaining arms of these two flyovers is nearly 90% complete and will be finished soon.
