Burger King restaurants plans expansion in India.

Burger King Restaurants Pvt. Ltd. plans to expand into tier I and II cities including Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Surat by January 2015.

Currently operating from Silvassa, Burger King Restaurants primarily run their business using mobile street carts serving the Indian burger-Vada Pav with choice of sauces and toppings. The company aims to capture markets through the availability-visibility approach by setting up shops in locations like multiplexes, shopping malls and business centers.

Opting for a franchise route for expansion, the chain aims to establish 18 outlets by 2015.

Vishamber Shewakramani, managing director of the company said, 'Our mobile carts can be placed anywhere, thus making food easily reaches consumers. Our expansion through the franchise model will ensure minimum investment and maximum profits for us and franchisees alike.'
