BMS Establishes Mumbai Hub to Scale AI and Data Capabilities.
Insurance and reinsurance broker BMS has launched a Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Mumbai, positioning the facility as a strategic hub to advance its data, analytics and artificial intelligence capabilities.
The new centre, inaugurated recently, is designed to serve as a key engine for the company's technology and innovation agenda rather than a conventional back-office operation. BMS said the Mumbai GCC will work closely with teams across its global network, supporting functions spanning broking, technology, analytics and client services.
The facility will be led by Managing Director Nipun Mapara, while Sanjeev Poojari will oversee operations.
The launch comes as BMS steps up the deployment of AI-driven tools across its broking and operational functions. The Mumbai centre is expected to provide the specialist talent and operational capacity required to support the rollout of these technologies at scale.
Professional services firm EY advised BMS on the feasibility, design and establishment of the GCC.
