BMRCL MD Inspects Progress on Bengaluru Metro's Blue and Pink Lines.

Dr. J. Ravishankar, the Managing Director of the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation (BMRCL), recently conducted a series of inspections to review the progress of two key metro corridors: the Pink Line and the Blue Line.

On August 30, Dr. Ravishankar inspected Reach 6 (Pink Line), a 21.386-kilometer corridor that will connect Kalena Agrahara to Nagawara via 18 stations. His inspection covered the section from Kalena Agrahara to MG Road, focusing on the civil construction, finishing work, track installation, and other essential system components.

The day before, on August 29, the BMRCL MD inspected Phase 2A (Blue Line), an 18-kilometer corridor that will link Silk Board to K.R. Puram. The inspection focused on the stretch from Central Silk Board to the Baiyappanahalli Depot.

Both the Pink and Blue lines are part of the new corridors introduced in Phase 2 of the Bengaluru Metro project.

These inspections come on the heels of major developments for the city's metro system. On August 10, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new Yellow Line, a 19.15-kilometer route connecting R.V. Road to Bommasandra. The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone for the 44.65-kilometer Phase 3 expansion of the Bengaluru Metro Project.
