Birla Tyres Boosts Distribution Footprint in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Birla Tyres is set to expand its distribution network across Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana as the company sharpens its focus on strengthening its presence in southern India.

The tyre manufacturer is also witnessing a steady improvement in capacity utilisation at its Balasore manufacturing facility in Odisha, according to Anurag Choudhary, Chairman, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Himadri Speciality Chemical, one of the owners of Birla Tyres.

"Currently, we are exporting products to the Middle East and African countries. We expect the Balasore plant to attain full capacity utilisation in the next three years. After that, we will start exporting the products to the US and Europe as well," Choudhary told businessline.

The company's expansion in the southern market is part of its broader growth strategy as it scales up production at the Balasore plant. Birla Tyres expects the facility to reach full capacity utilisation over the next three years, after which it plans to widen its export footprint beyond its existing markets in the Middle East and Africa to include the US and Europe.
