BGR Energy bags order from TRN Energy

Engineering-procurement-construction contractor BGR Energy Systems Ltd said it has bagged an order for two 300 MW coal based private thermal power plants in Chhattisgarh.

The order is from New Delhi based TRN Energy Pvt Ltd is valued at INR 1,698 crore and the completion schedule will be 29 months for unit I and 32 months for unit II.

The plants will be located at Nawapara village in Chhattisgarh and have got forest and environmental clearances.

Coal will be supplied by South Eastern Coal Limited.

The order value includes foreign currency content of USD 188 million at an exchange rate of INR 44.70. The contract provides for foreign exchange variation protection to the company at the actual exchange rate.
