Apollo Hospitals to Invest ₹6,100 Crore for 3,500 New Beds Across 11 Locations by FY26.

Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd., one of India’s premier healthcare networks, is set to expand its capacity by adding over 3,500 beds (2,877 of them operational) across 11 locations by FY26. This ambitious expansion, through a mix of greenfield, brownfield, and acquisition projects, is expected to cost approximately ₹6,100 crore. Of this budget, ₹1,700 crore has already been allocated to land acquisition, security deposits, and initial project expenses, while the remaining ₹4,400 crore will be funded from Apollo’s internal accruals and existing reserves.

The expansion will include new hospitals in major cities like Mumbai, Chennai, Gurgaon, Varanasi, and Lucknow. "For over 40 years, Apollo Hospitals has stood as a symbol of Indian healthcare on the global stage," said Dr. Prathap C Reddy, Founder and Chairman of Apollo Hospitals. "With each new facility, we renew our commitment to deliver top-tier healthcare to every Indian."

On Saturday, Apollo signed a definitive agreement to establish and operate a 500-bed hospital in Worli, Mumbai, with an investment of approximately ₹1,300 crore. Expected to be operational in four years, this advanced facility will offer cutting-edge diagnostics, robotic surgery, and specialized care across cardiology, oncology, gynecology, neurology, orthopedics, and intensive care. Apollo highlighted that treatments will be priced affordably, at around one-tenth of international rates.

Apollo currently operates a multispecialty hospital in Navi Mumbai, backed by a clinic network throughout Maharashtra’s capital. Additionally, the hospital network is enhancing its Lucknow facility with a 200-bed expansion, bringing the total to 500 beds. This ₹325 crore project on a 1.2-acre plot adjacent to the existing hospital is expected to complete within three years.

"Our expansions in Mumbai and Lucknow are key steps toward making high-quality healthcare accessible nationwide," said Suneeta Reddy, Managing Director of Apollo Hospitals. "These projects will meet the growing demand for excellence in healthcare and contribute significantly to our goal of adding over 3,500 beds by FY26."
