Apollo Hospitals Plans ₹6,000-Crore Expansion, Eyes Acquisitions in North India.
Apollo Hospitals Enterprise, India’s largest hospital chain by bed capacity, is ramping up its presence in North India through a strategic wave of acquisitions. The expansion plan targets key cities such as Noida and Varanasi, along with tier-II towns like Kanpur, to tap into the growing demand for advanced healthcare services.
The company is also evaluating acquisition opportunities in tier-I cities, including Mumbai, as part of its broader ₹6,000-crore capacity expansion initiative.
Speaking to businessline, Suneeta Reddy, Managing Director of Apollo Hospitals, said the company plans to utilise its nearly ₹2,000-crore free cash flow to fund both organic growth and acquisitions.
Apollo currently leads the sector in per-bed revenue at ₹0.86 crore, significantly higher than the industry average of ₹0.58 crore, underscoring its operational efficiency and premium positioning.
