20 Mini Industrial Townships in Telangana.

The government of Telangana will set up 20 mini industrial townships in the state as part of its new industrial policy which will be unveiled shortly.

These self-contained townships will be set up in public-private partnership in proximity to each industrial park, commissioner of industries and vice-chairman of Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Jayesh Ranjan said.

'We have 10 districts and the idea is to have two such mini townships in every district. The size of these townships will vary depending on the size of the industrial parks,' he said.

The government was also studying the concept of smart cities to be established in the state. 'We will come out with our own abstract on how we can go about it. But whatever we do, it will be in sync with the Centre's plan,' said KT Rama Rao, minister for IT and panchayat raj.
