Water Resources Minister sanctions Rs .93.67 crore for Kanchi Irrigation Project.

States Water Resources, Drinking Water and Sanitation Minister Chandraprakash Chowdhary has sanctioned a sum of Rs 93.67 crore for the development of command area of Kanchi Irrigation Project.

The work of the development of command area and water management would be completed in three years.

He said that once completed the irrigation project would be benefitting about 125 villages of Bundu, Tamar, Sonahatu and Arki Block of Ranchi and Khunti districts.

During the year 2015-16 Rs 19.30 crore would be spent while in 2016-17 Rs 37.47 crore while in 2017-18 Rs 36.90 crore will be spent, he said.
