Waste-to-energy plant gets HC nod.

The Karnataka High Court recently permitted Satarem Enterprises to go ahead with its waste-to-energy unit at Gorur village, Solur Hobli in Magadi taluk on the condition that the project would be subject to the final verdict in a PIL petition, which has questioned establishment of the plant. A Division Bench passed the interim order after the company submitted an undertaking that the plant would adhere to all applicable norms. However, the Bench said that the company would have to dismantle the plant in the event the verdict goes against it and the company could not claim any equity in this regard.
