Waaree Renewable Bags ₹114 Crore Solar Project in Maharashtra.
Waaree Renewable Technologies Limited (WRTL) recently announced it has been awarded a contract valued at ₹114.22 crore for the development of 94 MW of AC Solar PV Plants across multiple locations within Maharashtra.
The contract was granted by an unnamed renewable energy generation company and falls under the purview of the Maharashtra government's Mukhyamantri Saur Krishi Vahini Yojana (MSKVY) 2.0.
The state government's MSKVY 2.0 initiative is a significant push towards agricultural energy independence, with the primary objective of providing reliable daytime electricity to farmers across Maharashtra. This is being achieved through the implementation of decentralized solar power generation projects.
WRTL's role in building these solar plants will contribute directly to the state's goal of enhancing agricultural productivity and sustainability by ensuring a consistent power supply for farming activities. The project is expected to be a key step in strengthening Maharashtra's renewable energy footprint and supporting the agricultural sector.
