Chennai-based Vummidi Bangaru Jewellers (VBJ) is preparing for a major growth phase, setting a revenue target of ₹5,000 crore by the financial year 2027–28.

The 125-year-old jewellery retailer, known for crafting the Sengol (Sceptre) installed in India’s new Parliament building, reported a topline of around ₹2,700 crore for the financial year ending March 2026.

According to Amarendran Vummidi, Managing Partner of VBJ, the company aims to achieve its ambitious growth target by expanding its retail presence. New stores are planned in key cities including Coimbatore, Tiruchirappalli, and Hyderabad.

The expansion is expected to strengthen VBJ’s footprint in southern India and drive the next phase of its growth trajectory.
