Vuda once again extends deadline for projects.
Despite the year coming to an end, the Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority (Vuda) seems to be nowhere near completing their pending projects. Now, the Vuda officials say that the pending projects will be completed by March 31, 2016.
The incomplete projects include the Rs. 35-crore Central Park at Dwarakanagar, which was supposed to be completed two years ago, the Rs. 18-Crore Vuda Children's Park at Siripuram and the Rs 125-crore Haritha Housing project that was supposed to have been completed by November 2012. The Rs. 40-crore master plan roads in the Vuda limits as well as the two stadiums at Bheemili and Anakapalle are yet to see the light of the day.
Vuda Haritha Victims' Forum convener Prof Gan Bhukta said, 'Vuda promised us that the the project would be completed by November 2012. However, even till date, it is far from being ready. I am doubtful if it will be completed even by 2016 as the International Fleet Review slated to be held in the city in February next year could hamper the works at the project site.'
