Vikram Solar Starts Operations at New Gangaikondan Manufacturing Facility.

Solar module manufacturer Vikram Solar has announced the roll-out of the first photovoltaic (PV) module from its greenfield manufacturing facility at Gangaikondan in Tamil Nadu.

The new module manufacturing plant, spread across 6 lakh square feet, is expected to create employment opportunities for more than 1,500 skilled professionals, the company said.

The first modules produced at the facility are Vikram Solar’s Hypersol N-Type TOPCon G12R modules. These modules offer a rated power output ranging from 615 Wp to 640 Wp, with module efficiencies of up to 23.69%.

The commissioning of the Gangaikondan facility marks a significant expansion of Vikram Solar’s manufacturing capacity and strengthens its focus on advanced solar photovoltaic technologies.
