Vadodara: Seven new proposed town planning schemes to be taken up.

The Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) remained in an overdrive recently and took up seven proposed town planning (TP) schemes in the city.

The TP committee of the civic body will meet on Thursday to discuss these schemes.

The seven schemes include two each Kalali and Harni-Darjipura and one each in Jambuva, Maneja and Vadsar. The agenda for the meeting seeks to authorize the municipal commissioner to conduct further processes for these schemes.

VMC has been on an offensive to clear various proposals ahead of the ensuing state elections. It is believed that he model code of conduct for polls will be announced soon. If this happens, the civic body may not be able to take up several pending proposals.
