"Uttar Pradesh Government Set to Create Aviation Manufacturing Hub in Noida"

Uttar Pradesh, under the leadership of the Yogi Adityanath government, is embarking on a bold endeavor to establish itself as a major player in the aviation industry. In this quest, the government is all set to unveil an innovative scheme this month that will utilize a vast expanse of one thousand acres of land near the upcoming Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL) in Jewar, according to officials.

The scheme aims to foster the development of assembling and manufacturing units dedicated to airplane components, and in a groundbreaking move, entire aircraft manufacturing facilities. Excitingly, alongside Indian companies, numerous foreign entities, including those from the United States, have expressed a keen interest in establishing their units within this burgeoning aviation hub.

Notably, the NIAL project is already in the process of constructing Asia's largest airport in this region. By transforming the area into an aviation manufacturing hub, India stands to gain not only the capability to undertake aircraft repair within its borders but also to offer maintenance and repair services to aircraft from across the globe, eliminating the need to send them abroad for such purposes.

Arunvir Singh, the CEO of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), revealed that the acquisition of 1,365 hectares of land for the second phase of Noida International Airport is currently underway. This area will be earmarked for the development of a Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility and a thriving aviation hub.

The plan involves dividing the land into individual units, each spanning 5 acres, while larger plots will be designated as anchor units to accommodate substantial manufacturing operations. To facilitate this expansive endeavor, the government will soon introduce an Aviation Manufacturing Scheme designed to incentivize aircraft assembly companies, engine manufacturing firms, nozzle production enterprises, and various other aircraft equipment manufacturers to establish their operations within the new aviation hub.
