UP govt clears funds for big-ticket development projects in twin cities

The UP-NCR cities of Noida and Greater Noida are set to witness a bounty of mega projects in 2014, including formation of the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) for rail link expansion, two new affordable housing projects, state-of-the-art sewage treatment plant, government inter-college for girls, construction of a medical university, a 200-bed district hospital with trauma centre, underpasses at City Center and Sector 94 intersection, a multilevel parking capable of accommodating 3,000 cars in Sector 18 as well as a heliport.
