UltraTech wins Bicharpur coal block in Madhya Pradesh.

UltraTech Cement won the Bicharpur coal block in Madhya Pradesh for a bid price of Rs. 3,003 a tonne late on recent night. The block has extractable reserves of 29.12 million tonne and is the third win for the Aditya Birla Group after its group company won two blocks during the week.

On Friday, which is the seventh day of bidding, the Gare Palma IV/ 4 block in Chhattisgarh is on offer which is being sought by ACC Limited, Bharat Aluminium Company Ltd., Rungta Mines among others.

Naveen Jindal's Jindal Power Ltd. won back its previously held block - Gare Palma IV/2 & 3 in Chhattisgarh.
