TVS Motor Expanding Electric Scooter Production Capacity.

TVS Motor Company, having achieved a remarkable milestone with its half-yearly profit after tax (PAT) surpassing ₹1,000 crore for the first time in the first half of this fiscal year, is now gearing up to expand its electric scooter production capacity. Currently, the company manufactures 25,000 electric scooters per month, and this capacity increase is deemed essential to meet the growing demand.

The decision to enhance production capacity comes as the prominent manufacturer of two- and three-wheelers not only expands its network of outlets to retail the electric scooter iQube but also prepares to kick off deliveries for its new premium electric scooter, the TVS X, in the current quarter. Furthermore, the company is contemplating the launch of its iQube electric scooter in the ASEAN market.

This strategic move by TVS Motor reflects its commitment to embracing the electric mobility revolution and catering to the rising interest in electric scooters both in India and abroad.
