Third unit of Reliance Power's Sasan project starts generation

Reliance Power has announced that the third 660 MW unit of the 3960 MW Sasan Ultra Mega Power Project (UMPP) has commenced power generation, thus making 1980 MW capacity operational. The balance three units are at an advanced stage of construction and will be commissioned over the next few months, the company said in a filing to exchanges.
