"Test Flights to Start Soon at Jewar International Airport Near Delhi, Targeting April 2025 Opening"

Construction of the Noida International Airport in Jewar is progressing as the facility aims to meet its revised opening date of April 2025. The initial deadline was set for the end of December, but it has been delayed due to setbacks in the delivery of construction equipment and materials.

The Chief Executive Officer of Yamuna International Airport Private Limited, a subsidiary of Zurich Airport International responsible for the airport’s design, construction, and operation, expressed optimism that test flights will commence shortly.

The Jewar airport is set to become the second international air terminal serving the Delhi-NCR region. In its first phase, the airport will feature a single runway and is expected to handle up to 12 million passengers annually.
